Study-visit to CBDCs to be held in Luzon
The "Study-Visit to Co-op Business Development Centers (CBDC) and Planning" event on September 5-8, 2022 in the Luzon area, PH, is organized by GERC Inc. for its "Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Co-ops (EWEC)" Program that is part of its five-year Project with We Effect's "Working TOGETHER" Philippines Program. EWEC seeks to 1) support micro and small enterprises of women member-entrepreneurs in pilot co-ops in order to level up these enterprises (from micro to small; from small- to medium-sized enterprises); 2) institutionalize the business development services in co-ops to support, sustain, and expand enterprises owned and managed by women entrepreneurs; and 3) set up a mechanism for the networking of women entrepreneurs for learning experiences and exchanges.
Meanwhile, the participants in the study-visit will visit CBDCs and projects of fellow EWEC partner-co-ops and learn from good entrepreneurial practices of co-ops and women members; identify the factors that enabled successful implementation; identify even better strategies to improve the maintenance and sustainability of CBDCs; and prepare CBDCs operations plan for 2023.
The participating co-ops in the study-visit are Abra Diocesan Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (ADTEMPCO), Abra; Gubat St. Anthony Cooperative (GSAC), Sorsogon; Mandaue City Public Market Vendors Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MAVENCO), Cebu; Moncada Women's Credit Cooperative (MWCC), Tarlac; St. Martin of Tours Credit and Development Cooperative (SMTCDC), Bulacan; Sta.
