Welcome to the GERC Website

The Gender Equality Resource Center (GERC) Inc. welcomes everyone to this website, launched March 2017. The GERC Inc. website is a venue for co-ops and organizations that support co-op development, particularly in the Philippines where the GERC Inc. is based, to learn more on how the mainstreaming of gender and development (GAD) in co-ops that leads to the achievement of gender equality (GE) can help these organizations become even more progressive and their members even more empowered. And that learning, we hope, should come hand-in-hand with the commitment of co-ops, co-op promoting organizations, development agencies, local government units, and government agencies to make co-ops and other development institutions gender-fair and gender-sensitive.

This website will feature news and updates about GERC Inc. The website will also share resource materials on GE, co-op development, and related development topics to be created by GERC Inc. and also gathered from co-ops and private and government agencies involved in development.

3. To share information on how using digital technology—with a gender lens—can be initiated by co-ops, expanded or further expanded, and sustained for growth that benefits both co-ops and members of all ages
4. To issue a call for action to all co-ops, legislators, government agencies, and civil society to help immediately hasten gender equality and GAD efforts for sustainable change and growth in Philippine co-ops and to contribute to attain the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly through the strengthening of GAD efforts of co-ops; the strong involvement of youth in co-ops, especially as next-in-line cooperators; and the efficient use of digital technology for growth of co-ops and members—with all these efforts being done through GAD-related actions/with a gender lens.
