The Gender Equality Resource Center (GERC) Inc. welcomes everyone to its website www.gerc.ph, launched March 2017. The GERC Inc. website is a venue for co-ops and organizations that support co-op development, particularly in the Philippines where the GERC is based, to learn more about the mainstreaming of gender and development (GAD) in co-ops that leads to the achievement of gender equality (GE). GE can help co-ops become even more progressive and their members even more empowered. And that learning, we hope, should come hand-in-hand with the commitment of co-ops, co-op-promoting organizations, development agencies, local government units, and government agencies to make co-ops and other development institutions gender-fair and gender-sensitive.
The website will feature news and updates about GERC Inc. The website will also share resource materials on GE, co-op development, and related development topics to be created by GERC Inc. and also gathered from co-ops and private and government agencies involved in development.
In general, this website can also be a source of information on GAD and GE of any person or organization that wants to increase awareness of the importance of GAD and GE.
GERC Inc. is also in Facebook and Instagram
GERC Inc. looks forward to helping more co-ops become gender-fair, progressive organizations that enjoy the social and economic benefits of gender equality (GE); and to helping more women and men take more active roles in and have more equal opportunities to contribute to the development of co-ops as leaders, members and staff.
For 2017, GERC Inc. has lined up training conducts and other events that promote GE and co-op development. GERC Inc. will announce their training conducts and other events that can be participated in by co-ops, co-op promoting organizations, development agencies, local government units, and government agencies. GERC Inc. also continues to accept requests for training and consultancy services, particularly with gender perspective, that aim at helping co-op development growth.
